Bonded Contact with Beam Formulation
If the vertex at the end of a beam is put in bonded contact with the face of a solid, a non-default choice for the formulation is to use a Beam setting.
This connects the line body end vertex to the solid face with a “spiderweb” of beam elements.
This video illustrates the setup for such a contact, and reviews the radius that is affected, settings for material and radius of the connecting beams, and the consequences of temperature inputs.
