Path Linearization with Cyclic Symmetry

Path Linearization is not supported in ANSYS Workbench Mechanical models that have cyclic symmetry objects in the Outline. A work-around is to implement cyclic symmetry by placing a face match control in the Mesh branch, and to place the APDL command CPCYC in the environment branch with reference to a coordinate system created for that purpose. Although the Workbench images of the full circle of repeated parts is not available as with a Symmetry object, it becomes possible to map results to paths through the structure, and to perform path linearization.
