FEA - Mechanical APDL (formerly Ansys)
Events: 32
These classes are taught using the Ansys Classic GUI. ANSYS Mechanical APDL interface offers a comprehensive product solution for both multiphysics and single-physics analysis. The product includes structural, thermal, fluid and both high- and low-frequency electromagnetic analysis. The product also includes solutions for both direct and sequentially coupled physics problems including direct coupled-field elements and the ANSYS multi-field solver.
FEA - Mechanical Application (formerly Workbench)
Events: 39
These classes are taught using the Ansys Workbench GUI. ANSYS Workbench is the framework upon which the industry’s broadest and deepest suite of advanced engineering simulation technology is built. An innovative project schematic view ties together the entire simulation process, guiding the user through even complex multiphysics analyses with drag-and-drop simplicity. With bi-directional CAD connectivity, an automated project level update mechanism, pervasive parameter management and integrated optimization tools, the ANSYS Workbench delivers unprecedented productivity, enabling Simulation Driven Product Development.
CFD
Events: 24
These classes are taught using the Ansys CFD product suite which includes the industry leading software Ansys CFX and Ansys Fluent. ANSYS offers a comprehensive fluid dynamics product suite for modeling fluid flow and other related physical phenomena. Unparalleled fluid flow analysis capabilities provide all the tools needed to design and optimize new fluids equipment and to troubleshoot already existing installations. The ANSYS fluid dynamics product suite contains both general purpose computational fluid dynamics software and additional specialized products to address specific industry applications.
Explicit Dynamics
Events: 11
These classes are taught using the Ansys AUTODYN, Ansys LS-DYNA and Ansys Explicit STR products. If you are simulating short, high deformation, large strain, fracture or complete material failure applications, ANSYS explicit dynamics products will certainly meet your needs. There are few applications too severe to be simulated with a high quality software tool from ANSYS, and one of these three products is ready to take over where implicit dynamics leaves off.
CAD
Events: 9
ANSYS DesignModeler software is the gateway to geometry handling for an ANSYS analysis. It has connections to all major CAD systems, allowing seamless transfer of existing data including parameters while also providing powerful tools for construction of geometry from the ground up. ANSYS DesignModeler product is fully parametric. Combine this with parametric meshing and parametric solver setup within the ANSYS Workbench platform and you can use the same geometry for multiple design variations.
Optimization
Events: 2
ANSYS DesignXplorer software offers several ways to investigate the relationship between performance and design variables, including interactive tools and optimization algorithms such as multi-objective search. TOSCA Structure is a modular system for non-parametric structural optimization. Topology, shape and bead optimization of FE models with an arbitrary number of load cases and boundary conditions can be performed with TOSCA Structure. TOSCA Fluid is a modular system for the topology optimization of channel flow problems in conjunction with standard CFD-solvers such as Ansys Fluent.
Fatigue
Events: 1
fe-safe™ is a highly effective tool for fatigue analysis of Finite Element models. With fe-safe™ as an integrated part of your design process, you have the ability to optimise designs and test programs, reduce prototype test times product recalls and warranty costs - all with increased confidence that your product designs pass their test schedules as “right first time”.
Plastics
Events: 5
Autodesk® Moldflow® product suite including Autodesk Moldflow Insight and Adviser, part of the Autodesk solution for Digital Prototyping, helps thousands of companies worldwide to simulate and optimize plastic parts and injection mold designs, reduce the need for physical prototypes and help get innovative products to market faster.
Meshing
Events: 6
ANSYS Meshing allows the user to find the balance and get the right mesh for their simulation in the most automated way possible. ANSYS Meshing technology has been built on the strengths of class leading meshing tools such as Ansys ICEM CFD so that it's the one stop solution for all your meshing needs.
Offshore
Events: 0
ANSYS AQWA addresses the vast majority of analysis requirements associated with the hydrodynamic assessment of all types of offshore/marine structures. While the ANSYS AQWA Diffraction package provides an integrated facility for developing the primary hydrodynamic parameters required for undertaking complex motions and response analysis, the ANSYS AQWA Suite extends the analysis capabilities for global performance of moored and/or connected systems subject to random sea states.
