ANSYS CFD

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a simulation method which allows detailed calculation of the physics surrounding flow fields.   ANSYS CFD, which includes access to both stand-alone programs ANSYS CFX and ANSYS FLUENT, is a powerful software package that enables the user run a wide variety of flow simulations.

ANSYS CFX

A general-purpose, high performance CFD package, ANSYS CFX incorporates advanced solver technology to produce solutions to a wide range of fluids problems.  This powerful software is capable of working with a number of phenomena related to fluid flow problems, including: laminar to turbulent (including transition), incompressible to fully compressible, subsonic to trans- and supersonic, isothermal or with heat transfer by convection and/or radiation, non-reacting to combusting, stationary and/or rotating devices, and single fluids and mixtures of fluids in one or more phases (incl. free surfaces).

ANSYS FLUENT

This software contains the extensive physical modeling capabilities required to model flow, turbulence, heat transfer, and reactions for industrial applications.   Special models can now give the software the ability to model in-cylinder combustion, aeroacoustics, turbomachinery, and multiphase systems. ANSYS FLUENT provides users with an interactive solver set-up, solution, and post-processing capability that allows for minute adjustments to be made throughout the process, and its advanced solver technology provides quick, precise CFD results, flexible moving and deforming meshes, and superior parallel scalability.

ANSYS ICEM CFD

An intuitive and robust meshing product, ANSYS ICEM CFD encompasses a variety of tools that allow the user to create both surface and volume meshes for complex geometries.  This flexible software includes automated and interactive mesh editing, advanced mesh diagnostic tools, multi-physics post-processing abilities, and output capabilities to a large assortment of FEA and CFD simulation solvers.
